In the weeks since I heard about [event from Buffy s8], I've been writing quite a bit around that, but did not post. Not planning to, either.

I also wrote other things. Some of which won't be posted, but a few will, because some were for the Porn Battle [thanks oxoniensis], which means they'll be over there, so why not here, and while I'm at it, I'll add a couple more to the mix. That will include Mighty Boosh fic. None of you will read it, but I still find it better than having to join one of their comms and admitting I'm "in fandom". For several reasons. Which I won't disclose here.

I will disclose that I was planning to steer clear of the fandom's OTP and only write rarities, but that didn't work out too well. I wrote a first-time fic for them, no less. Very unlike me. I also wrote young!Xander [of legal age], in another fic, which is also unlike me. And Buffy naked and getting some, which also, yeah, unlike me.

Re the Porn [again], I try to write what inspires me and not "for" people, but I will share with you what I prompted/requested, just in case you like. I recommend you'll check everyone's prompts though because that's just fun.

I am posting this on LJ. Why? Because I'm tired of telling you people that LJ is a curse and you're all idiots. I tried IJ. If there are half a dozen people reading this, there's about two reading there. I'll take my chances here.

Re RL. France, yeah. I was trying to write a post - I am trying, just not very hard anymore. So if you have any specific questions, more specific than "whatever happened to you in the past six months or so", please comment here.

It's not that strange of an hour. It's almost 10 a.m. It's just that I went to sleep on time last night, so I was up at 8. *embarrassed*

But I'm expecting that they will. I'm just counting down to it. Or maybe they won't. That might require them to like...exhibit a reaction to something.

My sympathy on the necessary evil of LJ. There isn't an alternative yet with enough readers or friends.

I've been reading IJ for the Flash, to give readers notice of stories and posts outside of LJ, but there have been few items to pick up and few commentators on the items I do mention. For the Torchwood/HL story I want to post today, my options outside LJ are limited and not very appealing. I thought I'd try writing in a different fandom with more readers, but in practical terms that means dancing with LJ -- unless I want to throw my work into the pit of voles or its like.

I guess I still hold my hopes for a fan-based operation. But it seems most people are content to sit around and bitch. Nothing I can do about it.

I'm not exactly Little Mr Popular in the first place, so I don't exactly do crowd-pleasing even if I do stay on LJ. But. I posted on IJ for quite some time and all it got me was... the deafening sound of... Well, there's this sketch bit where the guy sits and says, "I'm so alone here, the wind my only friend", and then there's a whisper in the wind saying, "I hate you...", and he glares skywards and says, "Shut up, wind." That's what IJ was like.

But hey, you. *grin*. I like you.

Glad you're posting some of your stories here. And I'll read the Boosh stuff, you know that. And you can always send me whatever you don't post if you like. *g*

We are all stuck in the whole "I hate LJ" thing, but what are we to do. People are starting up elsewhere but all scattered. And most everyone is still here on LJ. I hope we can get a fan-based solution that everyone will be glad to move to. But until then I think we're a bit stuck.
