The sun shines blazing, white-hot on the vast desert, uninterrupted sand for miles, marred only with bleached bones. Nothing is green, unless you look up; when you look down again, all you see is green, circles of pain burned into your retinas. Parched, she's dying, again and again.
"Don't you miss the weather back in your homeland?" Says the little old lady next door, leaning over the fence between their back gardens, frowning at the grey sky that threaten to drizzle at any moment.
Cassandra looks up, her smile beaming brighter than the sun in these parts. "No, not really."
