I cannot watch Holby as a Highlander-verse sub-set.

At least not unless someone writes Anton Meyer and Tom Campbell-Gore as immies. Which I doubt anyone will.

hee, you linked to my post on the Holby Community. Okay, who are Anton Meyer and Tom Campbell-Gore?

One of the things that bugs me about some cross-overs is that some authors want to make all of the characters immies. Even characters that aren't immies in their canon. The whole idea of Immortals is that they live among us. And the joy of crossing them in other fandoms is that we get to see them interact with other characters we care about in their world. There is no reason those other characters should or would become Immortal. I want to see my guys interact with the characters just as the characters already are. The idea is that it is Methos interacting with the characters at Holby City. Those men and women that are already established in that setting and their lives just as they are.

The two middle ones (http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/holbycity/galleries/gallerypopup4.shtml?series=4&image=35). This is not their best picture, by far. The other two are their boytoys (each has one).

I don't really care either way; I doubt I'll be reading any Holby fic, especially crossovers. Although, for the sake of discussion: Methos can be the only immie in the setting - or he can not be.

I have to say I agree with you. Sometimes I see another PW character as Methos-like, but for the most part, I want to see them as completely separate characters. And I think PW is a good enough actor that he doesn't play the same character where-ever he is, he plays different characters. He makes it hard when he sneaks in familiar sayings, though. *g*

I just don't feel the love :)

Yeah, he seems a bit... fannish about the whole thing. I'm glad he makes his happies (was it his idea, or is any of the writers a fan?), but this looks like he's trying to get people to write the fic ;)

Same here. For the most part, I don't like the show enough to want to see it. It's not the most convenient or convincing persona for post-Watchers, post-Duncan et al. Methos, either.
