My first ever attempt at making comics. I will improve with time, I promise.





ETA: I should mention it's a single page, I just finished it two minutes ago, I want to make more and improve with time, I have more plots both in the Granddaddy 'verse and the Unlikely Superhero 'verse, I want good pics of Lionel if anyone has 'em that would fit as cartoons, and oh, if anyone can draw a pretty, JLA-style Lionel? That would rule beyond words.

And lovely layout. Have you thought of simply playing with the Lionel pics in PSP until you fade and fiddle with the colors enough to give them a comic book drawing feel? I only have PSP V4 as a freebie and mine does that.

Anywho, I definitely want to see more of this. You not only have an absolutely wonderful eye for layout, but the story hooked me in at once.

I wanted a more collage feel which is why it's different kind of comics, and actual photos, and all sorts of backgrounds, rather than a "pure" comics/cartoon feel to it. Maybe if I need to mix and match more I'll use your suggestion - PSP is.. photoshop?

Yep, PSP is Photoshop. I only suggested that because you mentioned that you wanted to see Lionel drawn - although in the JL style. I thought that might give you at least a beginning visual of what you were looking for.

I also like the mixed media feel. Mainstream comics do finally do that now, though I find it more in DC's Vertigo lines than in the regular DC top selling titles.

It worked for me, extremely well. I'm serious, please keep doing more of this if the muse so inspires you.

I have this image in my head of Li drawn the JLA style, which cannot be done on pics because it's - a very specific body and facial structure. And it sits in my head. And talks to Batman.

i'm working on more, but more of... one page per bunny, for a while, like an intro to the actual thing. did i mention this was my *first* and i'm still basically practicing?

i'm making more, i'm hoping it'll be clear about the plot and stuff, cause it's really just a... basic thing.

I suppose bats doesn't know everything. If anyone can keep stuff from him, it'd be Lionel. He wouldnt' be wearing a blatent outfit that would only advertise his existence (as a superhero) and involvement if he wanted secrecy. That only draws unwanted attention. When he needs something, he probably finds something that would be most appropriate for the purpose of the moment.
