Stupidity. It stings.

So I'm watching this horrid Israeli documentary about blondes (and why they have more fun, apparently), and several different people there, one by one, people with degrees, claim that humans like that hair colour because "there are no animals with blond hair".

The fuck?

"It doesn't exist on animals," says one.

"That colour happens only in hair, and only in human hair," says another.

"You can see a ginger cat, but there are no blond cats!" claims a third.

THE FUCK?

Off the top of my migraine-infested head, at three in the morning, I can - and did - come up with a list of at least a dozen blond/yellow/golden mammals, from dogs to monkeys, and of course quite a few felines on the way. *They* kept showing gorillas.

Words. Cannot. Describe.

As a blonde myself, natural, with brown eyes and dark brows, I tend to think I am not that "special", and I am in general attracted to brunettes, you know in the vein of opposites attract. There are a couple of advantages to being a blonde though - you don't get grey hairs as soon as darkhaired people, and if you do get some, the blond hair hides them better. And from a certain age on the lighter the haircolour the more youthful you tend to look. Hence a lot of women in their forties highlighting or going blonde. I have some darkhaired friends who got some grey hairs in their twenties! - mostly from stress, and they always used to tell me how lucky I was "to be spared that curse". Personally, when I go grey, I will turn myself into a redhead - because reds have more fun, hee!

...

There has even been a blond gorilla. It was an albino, but the effect was certainly blond.

Clearly, degree qualifications do not prove intelligence.
