Title: The Scythe
Fandoms: X-Files, Discworld
Summary: It's time for Krycek.
Ep: Existence
Warning: ... Disrespect to one traumatic episode, in a way, and also my wife got nauseous during the first line.
*
Krycek sat up, looking around him confounded. He listed his surroundings and situation; he had a headache, he was on a concrete floor, and a very small figure in a tiny black robe stared at him through the empty eyeholes of a rodent skull.
He narrowed his eyes at the creature.
He had a feeling it narrowed its eyes back, despite having none.
"SQUEAK."
Krycek stumbled back, falling on his round firm ass.
"SQUEAK?"
"Krycek. Alex Krycek," said the former assassin.
"SQUEAK."
He shrugged, noticing the puddles of blood around him. There was a hole in his favourite leather jacket, although that seemed less important at the moment.
"Well, I suppose everyone has to go sometime."
"SQUEAK," the Death of Rats nodded sadly.
[end]
ETA: It is now 18th of May, 2010; four years later. I have just now read Soul Music properly for the first time. I am amused.
