Years - decades maybe? - centuries? - wandering, wondering, lost. World makes no sense, the people... Sticks and stones, fire and curses. He comes back to life each time and each time more confused than before. What does this world want?
He killed, or didn't, he doesn't remember; they said he did. Hung him. Twitch, convulse a moment, then dead. Woke again - but they said he should die for what he did. Not sure... are the voices memories, people, or just inside his head? Can't tell their faces apart.
Eternity locked in a troubled mind. Until someone does him the mercy of beheading.
